Communicating the organization’sVision and eliminating change obstacles

How effectively the vision is communicated after it is developed
determines the success of the change process. Since the current
administration of the organisation also has its own set of
communications, the message regarding the change process must be made
more powerful and articulate to overshadow the status quo. Moreover, the
message about the new desired change must be embedded in all the
operations within the organisation. The management should talk about the
desired change at every opportunity as opposed to organizing special
meetings to discuss it. This step involves putting in place a
suitable structure for the proposed change. Moreover, at this point,
efforts are employed to identify the potential hurdles to the change
process. Eliminating all barriers helps to empower the coalition
established to spearhead the change process. As such, the change process
gains momentum and success becomes inevitable. Also, at this stage, the
company should interrogate its structure, performance and compensation
systems to ensure that they are in sync with the desired change and the
formulated vision. Additionally, at this point, the company
should recognize and reward people for making change happen. Again,
those resisting the change are identified and assisted to understand
what’s required of them and the potential benefits from the change
process.
